Tonight's lab is going to be really cool....so please, read through experiments 7.1 and 7.2 before coming to class. Here's a link to a visual step-by-step tutorial of what we'll be doing. The end results are awesome!
I will bring my blender and we'll be making pea soup. Well, not to eat {thank goodness} but to extract the peas' DNA.
We'll also look at prepared slides to view the different stages of mitosis. Look over Figure 7.7 and familiarize yourself with prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
